|Before Restoration by British Cycle Repair....
Owner requested that the bike be restored as close to original as possible. His motor still
had all the standard pistons and crank bearings but they were very loose. His valves had
carbon to the top of the stems and the wrist pin bushings were extremely worn. The rear chain
sprocket was also hooked quite badly. There were wiring issues, cracks in the frame, and
unnecessary holes in chain guard.
On its way to BCR, the motorcycle was accidentally dropped resulting in damage to one
foot peg and the front headlight, throwing the front end out of alignment. He also noticed that
he could get no more speed after 4th gear, and was experiencing excessive overall vibration.
More issues were encountered as the motorcycle was disassembled. Below are just a
sampling of the photos taken prior to the restoration.
